چکیده
Abstract Background Aging, being a natural process, involves many functional and structural changes within the body. Identifying age-related postural will provide insight into role of aging on control during locomotion. The aim this study was to identify transitional task under different conditions. Methods Sixty healthy females divided three age groups: A (50-60 y/o), B (60-70 C (70-80 y/o). measured by two force platforms. procedure consisted phases: quiet standing, transfer onto second platform, standing platform. Four conditions were applied: unperturbed transfer, obstacle crossing, step-up, step-down. Double-support time, transit stability time before after step analyzed. Results longer 30% for subjects over 70 y/o. double-support 11% among adults 60-70 y/o, while in people y/o it almost 50% compared 50-60 subjects. 17% 60 middle-age times category. Conclusion proposed is adequate assessing undergoing task. An analysis enabled detection early signs balance adults. Independent age, parameters changed with increasing difficulty tasks.

Age-related changes of postural control: effect of cognitive tasks.
BACKGROUND Postural control and falls in the elderly constitute a major health problem. The interest in balance deficits is growing, as concern about the rising costs of health care increases. This issue is particularly relevant to the elderly population in which falls occur most frequently. Postural control in the elderly was studied using a cognitive approach. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this ...
متن کاملAge-related changes in human postural control of prolonged standing.
The aim of this study was to characterize prolonged standing and its effect on postural control in elderly individuals in comparison to adults. It is unknown how elderly individuals behave during prolonged standing and how demanding such a task is for them. We recorded the center of pressure (COP) position of 14 elderly subjects and 14 adults while they performed prolonged standing (30 min) and...

This study identified and quantified rambling and trembling properties of the postural control system of children 4-12 years of age. Forty five children of varying ages (4-, 8-, and 12-years) and 15 adults stood upright on a force plate and performed 5 trials with and 5 trials without vision with each trial lasting 30 s. Center of pressure, rambling, trembling, mean sway amplitude, and predomin...
